Wheelie Bin Service & Waste Composting
In the near future, the “Landfill Regulations” shall require the diversion of biodegradable waste from landfill to alternative disposal facilities. One of the favored solutions for the diversification is that of composting. The range of 
biodegradable waste permitted for composting includes food waste, paper, cardboard, timber, green waste, kitchen/household waste and animal by-products.
Bearing this in mind, we at David Ritchie & Sons Ltd are currently in the process of putting in place an “in-vessel composting service”. From this development we shall be in a position to offer existing and new customers a more cost effective facility for all biodegradable waste streams.
All “composted” waste, having had the appropriate recycling application applied, shall then be made available as an organic material for use in a wide range of horticultural projects.
Our wheelie-bin service, which currently covers the Cairngorm National Park area, is used for the collection of all waste streams, covering household, commercial and industrial waste. Our range of wheeliebins can be taken on various hire schedules, from daily, weekly or on an as required basis. All collected waste is returned to our Granish recycling centre and put through the appropriate recycling procedures.
